About the Role
We are hiring a skilled Java Developer with hands-on experience in cloud-native application development using Microsoft Azure. This is a remote, full-time position for experienced developers who can contribute to the full software development lifecycle—from requirement analysis and system design to deployment and performance tuning.
The role requires strong technical expertise in Core and Advanced Java, Spring Boot microservices, and cloud architecture using Azure services. You’ll be part of a collaborative engineering team responsible for building scalable, secure, and maintainable backend systems powering enterprise-grade applications.
Key Responsibilities
1. Application Development & Maintenance
- Design and develop backend components using Java 8/17+, Spring Boot, and REST APIs
- Implement scalable and maintainable microservices architectures
- Ensure system quality through unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews
2. Azure Cloud Integration
- Build and deploy cloud-native applications using Microsoft Azure
- Work with services such as Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Blob Storage, and Service Bus
3. CI/CD & DevOps
- Set up and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines for automated builds, tests, and deployments
- Collaborate with DevOps engineers to streamline deployment workflows
4. API Development & Integration
- Design and consume RESTful and SOAP APIs
- Ensure API security, performance, and error handling according to industry best practices
5. Database Management
- Write and optimize SQL queries for Azure SQL and other relational databases
- Participate in schema design, data migration, and performance tuning
Required Skills
Candidates must have hands-on experience with the following:
- Java (8 or 17+) – Strong foundation in object-oriented programming and concurrency
- Spring Boot – Building microservices and REST APIs
- Microsoft Azure – Experience deploying and managing services in a cloud environment
- Azure Services – Hands-on with App Services, Azure Functions, Blob Storage, and Service Bus
- CI/CD – Working knowledge of Azure DevOps for automated testing and deployment
- API Development – Designing scalable, secure APIs using REST or SOAP
- Database Skills – SQL query writing and performance optimization on Azure SQL
Preferred (Good to Have)
While not mandatory, experience with the following will be considered a plus:
- Containerization tools – Docker and Kubernetes
- Event-driven architectures – Using Azure Service Bus or Apache Kafka
- Security frameworks – OAuth2, JWT, and Azure AD integration
- Performance tuning – Profiling, JVM optimization, and memory management
- Scalability techniques – Load balancing, caching, and asynchronous processing
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 3 to 8 years of relevant software development experience
