Persist Ventures is hiring a skilled DevOps Engineer for a full-time remote opportunity. We're building a chat platform powered by Matrix, integrated with AI features and social media bridging, and we want you to help us shape the infrastructure and frontend from scratch.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deploy Matrix Synapse on AWS EC2 (free tier).
• Set up chat bridges using Mautrix (LinkedIn or Instagram).
• Configure NGINX and associate with DuckDNS for custom domains.
• Build frontend chat interfaces with React/Next.js for syncing messages and rooms.
• Integrate AI capabilities like summarization, intent analysis, and daily reports.
• Test with Matrix clients like Element and document the entire deployment.
• Deliver working demos, code repositories, and deployment links.

Required Skills:

• Hands-on experience with AWS, EC2, Docker, and Linux environments.
• Expertise in frontend frameworks like React.js and Next.js.
• Understanding of Matrix protocol and third-party bridge integrations.
• Knowledge of NGINX and basic domain/DNS configurations.
• Exposure to Natural Language Processing (NLP) tools such as Hugging Face, FAISS, etc.
• Capability to deliver and explain full-stack systems from idea to execution.
